Dr. Sriram Ramalingam
Dr. Sriram is the Medical Director of Pradnya Nethralaya. He is a practicing Ophthalmologist, consulting with ophthalmic patients on various ophthalmic disorders & operating upon the surgical patients at Pradnya Nethralaya. He successfully performed more than 10000 Cataracts operations by Phacoemulsification + IOL Implantation, 5000 Glaucoma operations & 6000 Squint operations.
He is a life member of several ophthalmic societies like Karnataka Ophthalmic Society, Bombay Ophthalmic Society, All India Ophthalmic Society etc., He is also a popular eye health educator and has various national & international research publications.
Dr. Sriram Ramalingam was graduated with an MBBS degree from the Grant Medical College, Mumbai in 1989. He completed his Post Graduation with a gold medal in Ophthalmology from the Grant Medical College, Mumbai in 1993. He completed his fellowship in Anterior Segment, Glaucoma & Squint at the esteemed Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai while working as a Consultant at Sankara Nethralaya for a period of 7 years.
Dr. Sriram has served as a Thesis Teacher for the DNB (Diplomat of National Board) students, as Faculty at the Elite School of Optometry and as a Teacher for Diploma in the Ophthalmology FRCS, FRCO & Ophthalmic Nursing Associated (ONA) training program.
Dr. Pradnya Sriram
Dr. Pradnya Sriram is the Medical Administrator of Pradnya Nethralaya. She is a practicing Anesthesiologist as and assists Dr. Sriram for all his surgical interventions at Pradnya Nethralaya.
Dr. Pradnya Sriram was graduated from the Grant Medical College, Mumbai in 1989 and completed her Post Graduation in Anesthesia from the Grant Medical College in 1993.
She has worked as an Anesthesiology Consultant in all specialties at the esteemed Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai for a period of seven years.
She has specialized in various types of Anesthesia for Geriatric & Pediatric care:
- Premature Infants, Neonates & Children Dark Room Anesthesia outside the OT for ERG VEP Ultrasonography in Children & Mentally Retarded Sedation with Ketamine, Midazolam propofol for La Local Anesthesia (LA) Peribulbar & Retrobulbar.
